Tactical Breach Wizards Beginner Guide
New to Tactical Breach Wizards? This comprehensive beginner guide covers everything you need to know — from basic mechanics to advanced tips that will help you clear missions with style.

Core Mechanics Overview
Tactical Breach Wizards is a turn-based tactics game where you control a squad of wizards in tactical gear. Each mission involves breaching rooms and defeating all enemies using your characters' unique abilities.
The key innovation is the Rewind mechanic— you can undo any move at any time with no penalty. This means you should experiment freely! Try wild combos and undo them if they don't work out.
Action Points
- ▸ Each character gets 1 action point per turn
- ▸ Most abilities cost 1 action point to use
- ▸ Some abilities are free (no action point cost)
- ▸ Zan's Time Boost can grant extra action points to allies
- ▸ Certain upgrades refund action points on specific conditions
Movement
- ▸ Each character can move up to 5 squares per turn
- ▸ Movement can happen before, during, or after using abilities
- ▸ Some abilities refresh movement (Jen's Gale Grenade with upgrade)
- ▸ Dall's Charge and Swap effectively give extra movement
Mana System
- ▸ Characters start each level with 1 mana point
- ▸ Earn more mana by sealing doors or gathering intel
- ▸ Mana is used for powerful abilities (Chain Bolt, Swap, etc.)
- ▸ Plan your mana usage — don't waste it on rooms you can clear without it
Knockback & Defenestration
Knockback is the core combat mechanic. Pushing enemies into walls deals bonus damage, and pushing them out of windows is an instant kill regardless of their health.
- ▸ Wall collision: Enemies take 1 damage per remaining knockback square
- ▸ Window kills: Instant elimination regardless of HP
- ▸ Enemy collision: Pushing an enemy into another deals damage to both
- ▸ Stability: Reduces knockback distance — break stability with Unsteady
Damage Types
- ▸ Direct damage: Reduces HP (blocked by armor)
- ▸ Knockback damage: From wall collisions (ignores armor)
- ▸ Environmental: Windows, ledges, hazards = instant KO
